OffWatch

Your time, your port, your people.

Closed Beta

A private network for maritime professionals — built for the time between watches.

OffWatch helps seafarers, offshore crew, and anyone who spends long stretches away from home build genuine friendships and real-world connections during time off watch.

OffWatch is entering Closed Beta. We’re inviting a small group of maritime crew to be among the first to use it.

Places are limited and admission happens in batches — joining the list isn’t immediate access.

The concept

Built around life at sea, not adapted from it

Life at sea and offshore comes with a specific kind of isolation: long rotations, limited connectivity, and colleagues who become your only social world for months at a time. OffWatch starts from that reality, rather than treating it as an edge case of a general-purpose social app.

Real-world connections

You are closer to people you know than you think

Crew spend their careers moving between yachts, ships, ports, marinas and countries. You end up in the same place as people you know — or people you would like to know — over and over, and almost never realise it. OffWatch is built to close that gap.

Someone you worked with two seasons ago is docked in the same port tonight.

You have a day off ashore, and so does another crew member half a mile away.

Two vessels cross paths for thirty-six hours, and nobody finds out in time.

“We should catch up sometime” finally turns into an actual plan.

See who’s nearby

Discover other maritime people around you — in port, at the marina, ashore for the day.

Favourite the people you’d like to see

Quietly mark the people you would genuinely like to connect with. Nobody is told, and nothing is public.

Mutual interest makes a connection

When it goes both ways, you connect. There are no follower counts here, and no one-sided attention.

Talk, and arrange to meet

Connected crew can message each other. Arrival awareness can let existing connections know when you’re close by again.

The point is never the app. It’s the coffee ashore, the catch-up between rotations, the friendship that outlasts the contract.
